10 Strongest Nen Users In Hunter x Hunter, Ranked

Kurapika is the sole known living member of the Kurta clan which was massacred 5 years before the start of the series by the Phantom Troupe, also known as the Spiders. The Phantom Troupe sought the “Scarlett Eyes” of the Kurta, leading to them removing and selling the eyes to anyone who would pay. As Kurapika was not in the village at the time, he was spared from the massacre.
Kurapika is a Conjurer, which means that his Nen specializes in materializing objects for the user to use in and out of combat. Kurapika chooses to conjure Nen chains, which when paired with his Nen contract, gives him exceptional Nen abilities but only when used against those associated with the Phantom Troupe. When facing the Troupe his abilities outclass most Nen masters, with multiple abilities to track down and capture the Spiders.

9 Zeno Zoldyck

Zeno Zoldyck is the grandfather of Killua Zoldyck and the father of the current head of the family, Silva Zoldyck. As a member of the Zoldyck’s, Zeno is a master assassin and extremely powerful hand-to-hand combatant. Though he claims to have lost much strength in his old age, he is still one of the most deadly fighters in the series.
While Zeno only fights a handful of times, those few instances display his great strength. While working together with Silva he was able to fight on equal terms with Chrollo, even when Chrollo used his wide array of Nen abilities. His strongest feat was the usage of “Dragon Dive”, which when used on Meruem’s palace, created palace-wide destruction with dozens upon dozens of lethal bombardment Nen darts.
8 Gon Freecss

Gon Freecss is the main protagonist of the HxH series and is known for his upbeat and infectiously positive attitude. Similar to his father Ging, Gon was able to pass the unimaginably difficult Hunter Exam at the young age of 10 when many adults with more years of experience than he has been alive have failed miserably.
While Gon is not currently among the strongest Nen users, through his use of a Nen contract, it is shown how unbelievably strong Gon can become. Through the approximate year and a half the series takes place, Gon’s abilities see a dramatic increase through the many training arcs he goes through. If Gon does return to the main series storyline, his growth potential when clashing with strong opponents is essentially endless.

7 Killua Zoldyck

Gon’s best friend Killua, the youngest son of the Zoldyck clan, is an exceptionally talented Nen user whose fighting skills were forged through his many years of training to become a professional assassin. Killua’s devotion and loyalty to Gon, even when Gon hasn’t deserved it, has cemented Killua as one of the most popular and beloved characters in all of HxH.
Aside from Killua’s assassination techniques, Killua’s manipulator type Nen, which allows him to manipulate the properties of his Nen, allowed him to develop electric-based Nen techniques. Killua is also said to have the greatest potential of any member of the Zoldyck family, which when paired with his electric techniques such as Godspeed, give him the potential to become one of the greatest fighters in the entire series.
6 Feitan

Feitan is a member of the Phantom Troupe and is usually seen to be a laid-back and even-tempered person, that is, until he goes absolutely ballistic. Among the Troupe, Feitan is one of the most trusted of all members showcased when he briefly took over leading the Troupe while they waited for Chrollo to have Kurapika’s Nen dagger exorcised from his heart.
Feitan is a master swordsman and fighter, showcased in his fight with the Chimera Ant Zazan. In that same fight, he displayed his ability to conjure armor, specifically Pain Packer, which used his rage to produce extremely powerful fire-based abilities. Being able to single-handedly destroy a Chimer Ant is impressive enough, yet Phinks alluded to other suits and abilities he has which potentially may come to light on the Dark Continent.

5 Razor

Razor is a convict and friend of Gon’s father Ging who was asked by Ging to test Gon’s progress should he ever play Greed Island and make his way to Razor. While he is a criminal, Razor seems to be a good person treating Gon and Killua kindly except for when they challenge him in their quest to receive an exceptionally rare card to clear the game GREED ISLAND.
Razor’s ability “The Thirteen Devils” allows him to split a large portion of his power into various “Devils” that work in tandem with him to assist in his fights or overwhelm opponents on their own. While it does cut his personal power, Razor was still shown to be capable of overpowering Gon’s entire team singlehandedly and with a hindrance.
4 Chairman Netero

Netero is the chairman and leader of the hunter association through the grand majority of the Hunter x Hunter series currently to date. To gain his overwhelming strength he trained for 2 years straight to master his martial arts and reach enlightenment, as his training was centered around the act and motions of praying.
Netero’s 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva is the pinnacle of his martial arts and Nen abilities, which depending on his hand motion, would unleash an attack from any of the 100 hands his ability statue had. He was at one point known as the strongest Nen user alive, though unfortunately by the time Meruem came around, his advanced age deteriorated his skills and he chose to die using “The Poor Man’s Rose.”

3 Chrollo Lucilfer

Chrollo Lucilfer is the founder and leader of the Phantom Troupe, though he does for a short time leave the troop due to the Nen Contract he was put under by Kurapika’s Nen Chains. He is shown to be a very charismatic person and highly relatable to everyone he meets which clashes with his laissez-faire feelings towards thievery and murder.
Chrollo is an immensely talented hand-to-hand fighter shown by his suppression of Silva and Zeno Zoldyck simultaneously without using his full strength. However, his true strength lies in his Specialist Nen ability “Skill Hunter” which allows him to steal the Nen abilities of others if certain conditions are met, with the ability to store more than a dozen abilities in his conjured book “Bandit’s Secret” leading to an almost endless array of combinations.
2 Neferpitou

Neferpitou is 1 of 3 Royal Chimera Ant Guards born for the sole purpose of protecting the Chimera Ant King. Pitou has a human-cat-like appearance that meshes well with its feline movements. Pitou makes herself the archenemy of Gon when she brutally murders and marionettes the corpse of Gon’s friend Kite.
Complimentary to her inquisitive nature, Pitou’s specialist Nen ability Doctor Blythe stems from her deep research into Nen abilities and dissecting bodies giving her immense healing abilities. Pitou’s marionette-style skill “Terpsichora” puppeteer’s Pitou herself to be able to surpass her body’s limits. Pitou is speculated to have the biggest aura pool in the series seen by her covering a vast area in detective En indefinitely.

Due to the fact that it is unclear whether Hisoka has taken any fight seriously, Hisoka’s loss against Chrollo and subsequent death is called into question when Hisoka appears once again seemingly unharmed despite apparently dying.
