The Golden Joystick Awards, the world’s largest public gaming awards, return for their 38th anniversary in November. This year’s show will be reimagined as a digital release celebrating the best games of the past 12 months and looks forward to the next generation of consoles and creators. The 2020 Golden Joystick Awards will feature a variety of celebrity presenters, new gameplay trailers and special features in an exciting digital revamp of the event, normally broadcast from central London.

Millions of votes were cast for the 2019 Golden Joystick Awards, where Resident Evil 2 Remake won the coveted Ultimate Game of the Year award with notable wins for Control, Outer Wilds, and Days Gone. The Golden Joystick Awards were delighted to present the prestigious Lifetime Achievement award to legendary developer Yu Suzuki, creator of Out Run, Virtua Fighter and Shenmue. The 2020 Golden Joystick Awards shortlist will be announced in late September with new categories including Best Gaming Community, recognizing the most vibrant and inclusive online games.
