At Easy Peasy and Fun, we all love fruit (and vegetables, to be honest). A printable fruit craft has been under construction for quite some time and we have finally prepared it.

You can make these paper fruits without templates, we just thought it would be fun to offer a “pre-colored” and colored version.

These can be made with regular printing paper if you are using the pre-colored version, but if you are going to be using markers to color your fruit we recommend using thicker papers as markers tend to ooze. and crumple the paper.

What do you need:

  • our printable models (you can find them all at the end of this tutorial)

  • the scissors
  • gum
  • coloring supplies – markers, crayons or other if you are going to use our black and white template

Print the models. Since we colored with markers, we printed on thicker paper.

Fruit coloring. We recommend using 8 layers of fruit to complete this craft.

If young children make this craft, they can also use less (or more if they wish).

Cut the fruit (and leaves if you wish).

Some of our templates also include leaves that you can use in your design. The leaves are a little more difficult to handle, so skip the leaf if young children are doing this work.

Fold all the berries in half with the colored side in.

Score the swirls to make them super crispy. We use a craft stick – easy and inexpensive for kids to use (perfect for large groups).

Glue (stack) the fruit slices on top of each other.

When you have glued them all, apply glue to the last one, open your fruit and glue the last slice to the first slice.

We are all fruit lovers here at Easy Peasy and Fun (and vegetable to be honest). A printable fruit craft was in the making for some time now and we finally have it ready.
You can make this paper fruits without the use of the template, we just though it would be fun to offer a “pre-colored” and color in version.
These can be made with regular print paper if you are using the pre colored version, but we do suggest heavier paper if you will be using markers to color in your fruit, as markers tend to bleed through and wringle the paper.
