Birds Clothespin Puppets
Birds Clothespin puppets are here to make playtime super fun. Print these puppets and have the kids make them themselves, they will love making them and playing with them.
Combine them with one or more of our other ratchet puppets and multiply the fun.
We have a fun set of birds for you – you will find a bluebird or a kingfisher or just a silly looking bird, parrot, toucan and hummingbird.
Each of these fun birds is available in both color and black and white versions so kids can color however they like.
These are not only super fun, but also great for fine motor skills and dramatic play.
How to make lattice puppets with birds
What do you need:
- print of our bird puppet model
- clothes pegs (preferably wooden)
- gum
- the scissors
- pencils, markers or colored pencils for color in the version
step by step tutorial
Start by printing out one (or all) of our printable bird latch puppet templates. They work best when printed on card stock or heavier printer paper.
In the colored version, have the children color the designs before cutting them out. It’s easier that way.
Cut out the outlines of the birds.
Also cut along the “mouth” line.
Apply glue to the dowel grip area – if you’re working with a wooden dowel, the glue is enough to do a good job.
Glue the head and body to the mandala.
Completed!
Your bird latch puppets are ready to play.
