Crafts and crafts have always been popular with young children, so who doesn’t love using their hand as a paintbrush?
We shared a cute Easter bunny handprint design a while back, and while this Easter chicken looks pretty cool with the handprint art printed on paper, the idea of a standalone 3D sounded like fun. And so we made one.
how to make chicken handprint crafts for kids
What do you need:
- black marker (thick)
- white construction paper
- green paper
- toilet paper roll (or other paper roll)
- red paper
- yellow or orange paper
- the scissors
- gum
step by step tutorial
Reach your left hand to the white construction paper.
Draw around your fingers with a black marker (you can use a pencil and then draw over them with a marker.
Don’t track around your wrist.
Raise your hand.
Complete the form.
Draw the wings (palm) and a tip for the eye (on the thumb). Draw a few lines for the feathers.
Cut the chicken (cut along the contour of the hand).
Take the toilet paper roll and cut a smaller roll (about a third of the paper roll).
Cut two slits (one above the other) in the paper roll.
Draw chicken cutlets on red paper…
And a beak on orange or yellow paper…
And cut them.
Stick it on the chicken head.
Push the chicken into the slits you made in the rolled paper.
Cut a strip of green paper. mow the lawn”.
Paste it around the roll of paper.
Fold the grass.
All done, you have done a chicken handprint job.

How to make a chicken handprint craft for kids

Place your left hand outstretched on white construction paper.
Trace around your fingers with a black marker (you can also use a pencil and trace over them with a marker afterwards.
Do not trace around your wrist.
Remove the hand.
Complete the form.
Draw wings (inside the palm) and a dot for the eye (on the thumb). Draw a few lines for the feathers.
Carve the chicken (cut along the outline of the hand).
Take the toilet paper roll and cut a smaller roll (about a third of the paper roll).
