It certainly sounds like Daredevil will become even more of a black sheep amongst his fellow superheroes than he already was. Furthermore, Elektra will likely have a more negative effect on him as a hero as their romantic relationship continues to grow. That being said, it will still be exciting to find out which heroes Daredevil will ask for help. While fellow Defenders such as Luke Cage, Danny Rand, and Jessica Jones would normally be strong possibilities, they’re all going to be tied up now that Luke Cage has become New York’s mayor after Fisk fled. Likewise, fighting ninjas as part of a long-term team doesn’t sound like it would be Spider-Man’s cup of tea despite his status as a frequent Daredevil ally.

It should also be noted that the gorgeous yet foreboding cover art can’t be a good sign for Matt Murdock, seeing as how he’s being held by bloody strings held by who looks to be Death herself. Could it be that no one wants to join Daredevil’s team because he’s become an agent of death resorting to more lethal methods in his new series? Murdering Fisk was certainly something Matt was grappling with during Devil’s Reign. Marvel readers will just have to wait and find out when Daredevil #3 releases this August.
