Many of the barrel perks that are available for D.F.A. will work fine for the weapon, but the top options are Hammer-Forged Rifling and Smallbore because they increase the Hand Cannon’s damage range. Smallbore does improve the range slightly less, but it also improves the weapon’s stability. Additionally, Extended Barrel is great specifically for PvP to help bring the Hand Cannon up to Fatebringer’s capabilities. Most of the magazine perks for D.F.A. are great for PvE activities as well, but the top options in the second column are still Accurized Rounds and Tactical Mag. Combined with the new third and fourth column perks, the D.F.A. is a great option for Vanguard, Crucible, and Gambit activities in Destiny 2, as well as high-tier endgame content:

1. Outlaw/Rampage – This may be the god roll for D.F.A., at the very least it’s a well-rounded roll.
2. Triple Tap/Timed Payload – This roll is optimized for PvE activities, though these perks may not perform too well together in PvP.
3. Fragile Focus/Opening Shot – This roll provides the weapon with significantly increased range for PvP activities.
4. Perpetual Motion/Timed Payload – For Guardians that prefer to remain mobile and deal as much damage as possible, Perpetual Motion and Timed Payload is the perfect option.
