DIY Rainbow Playdough Recipe

What do you need:

This ingredient list is for 1 color – multiply the quantity for more colors

1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup of water
1/4 cup salt
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
food coloring
Extra fine biodegradable glitter

Rainbow Playdough Recipe

Start by mixing the dry ingredients flour, salt and cream of tartar. Mixed.

Add water and oil.

Add a few drops of food coloring to the mixture. Mix well.

Keep mixing until you get a homogeneous mixture. If you are not satisfied with the color intensity, continue adding food coloring.

Cook for a few minutes only on the stove over medium heat. You need to mix it constantly until you get a consistency similar to playdough.

Remove from heat but be careful as it is hot. Reserve the dough to cool.

Once cooled, roll into balls and store (refrigerate) in a ziplock bag or airtight container until use.

You are done with the first batch!

Now repeat all the steps with your second color (and all other colors) until you have all the colors you need.

To add a little magic, roll the dough into biodegradable glitter before playing.

Now all you have to do is make your kids have fun playing with your DIY Rainbow Playdough.

What you need:

Once it has cooled, roll it into a ball shape and store it in a zip lock bag or air tight container until needed (refrigerate).
You are done with the first batch!
