Dragon Ball’s Most Powerful Saiyans Unite in Jaw-Dropping Fan Art
A fan of Dragon Ball has created a series of beautiful fan art inspired by the colors of the rainbow, depicting the strongest Saiyans in the series. While Dragon Ball has introduced many powerful Saiyans over the years, Bakarott’s (b_rototo on Instagram and Twitter) fan art is a great gallery showcasing the mighty alien warriors.
Since the revelation, at the beginning of Dragon Ball Z, that the protagonist Son Goku was actually an alien, the warrior race of the Saiyans has become the key feature in the series throughout its many incarnations. Starting from the legendary debut of the Super Saiyan form during the battle against Frieza on Namecc, transformations and constantly rising power levels are a signature of this beloved manga. Every time a Saiyan reaches a new level, through transformation or learning powerful techniques, it’s presented as the strongest, just to be surpassed after a while, and the same goes for new characters. It could seem a clichè, but Dragon Ball was the first manga to do it, and fans still love it today.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY
Bakarott is an artist who specializes in Dragon Ball fan art. In his “rainbow” series posted on Instagram, the first three drawings show Goku in Super Saiyan 4 form (Red), Gogeta (Orange), and Gotenks Super Saiyan 3 (Yellow). The Super Saiyan 4 is currently in an odd situation, as it only appeared in the anime Dragon Ball GT and its related products, which have been considered non-canon since the debut of Dragon Ball Super. Gogeta, the incredibly powerful fusion between Goku and Vegeta performed using the Fusion technique, was also non-canon because it debuted in the Dragon Ball movies, but has since been reintroduced in Super. As the fusion between Goku and Vegeta, it is perhaps the most powerful Saiyan warrior ever appeared. Another powerful fusion is Gotenks, created by Goten and Trunks, and his Super Saiyan 3 form was powerful enough to almost defeat Majin Buu, until the limited time of the technique ran out.

The remaining drawings show Broly (Green), Vegeta Super Saiyan Blue (Indigo), and Turles (Purple). Broly is another character who originally only appeared in the non-canon movies, but was then introduced in the official continuity in the movie Dragon Ball Super: Broly. He is a mighty warrior who possesses the unique Legendary Super Saiyan power. Vegeta needs no introduction as the de-facto co-protagonist of the series. This drawing shows him in his Completed Super Saiyan Blue form, which seals the power that usually overflows after transforming inside his body. It was Vegeta’s most powerful form before reaching Ultra Ego. Finally, Turles is a Saiyan who looks exactly like Goku and was the antagonist of one of the Dragon Ball Z movies. Originally a low-class warrior, he gained incredible powers by eating the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Might, which he is holding in the drawing.
