GTA 6 engine is reportedly “ahead of its time”
The game engine used to create GTA 6 is “ahead of its time” according to a well-known insider, so fans shouldn’t be disappointed.
Journalist and Rockstar Insider Chris Klippel He shared on Twitter: “To be used for the new version of the graphics engine from Rockstar Games (RAGE9). GTA 6 It’s going to be quite surprising.” They go on to say that “we’re talking about an engine ahead of its time” and that fans shouldn’t be disappointed with the result.

In case you didn’t know, Rockstar Games’ graphics engine has been used to develop a number of games at the studio, including Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 5, Max Payne 3, and many more, ranging up to at Rockstar Games Presents. Table tennis. We don’t know much about the new version of the RAGE engine at the moment, but if what Klippel says is true, we’re looking at possibly the best GTA game yet.
After being quietly announced in February this year, we haven’t heard much about GTA 6, be it its setting, release date, or main characters. All we know so far is Development in GTA 6 is “on track” and that probably won’t be released until late 2024 – As Klippel explained earlier.
That doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of rumors surrounding the mysterious project, as a number of leakers have shared things like this. GTA 6 would stick to a modern settinggame apparently Rockstar’s “most chaotic” projectand it could be It has the characteristic of “large-scale destruction”. But what exactly this means is still unclear.
In other Rockstar news, the GTA studio recently announced that it is teaming up with Control and Alan Wake studio Remedy. Max Payne Remake 1 and 2. These games will not be developed with RAGE9, but with Remedy’s exclusive Northlight engine for PC. PS5and Xbox series X.

If you weren’t aware, the Rockstar Games graphics engine has been used to develop a number of games at the studio including Red Dead Redemption 2, GTA 5, Max Payne 3, and more going as far back as Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis back in 2006. We don’t know much else about the new version of the RAGE engine at the moment but if what Klippel says is accurate, we could be looking at the best looking GTA game to date.
