Halloween Ends footage features a “brutal” fight between Michael Myers and Laurie

Jamie Lee Curtis and Judy Greer in Halloween Kills

The first look at Halloween Ends was shown at CinemaCon and shows what the final encounter between Michael Myers and Jamie Lee Curtis’ Laurie Strode could be.

The footage was shown at CinemaCon. If you’ve been following the latest teasers for the event, including Nope, Avatar 2 and The Flash, you know the drill: it’s all happening behind closed doors and won’t be released to the public for a while.

According to ComicBook.com, we have a taste of what to expect.

The footage begins with a trip through memories focusing on Halloween in 1978. It’s a familiar scene from there – but for 2022: Laurie takes a deep breath in a closet and Michael Myers follows her with a knife in hand .

All of a sudden, Myers “grabs Laurie’s hair and slams her face into a glass cabinet first.” Curtis’ hero, however, gains the upper hand by stabbing the horror symbol with his hand and standing on it. Something tells us that in the end, none of them will leave around sunset…

Curtis told Total Film magazine last year that she expected Halloween Ends to happen the last time she starred with Laurie, but not for the reason you might think.

“Given what I know of the upcoming film, I think this will be the last time I play it,” Curtis said. “And I was like, ‘Oh, because I’m dying!’ I’m not saying anything like It has nothing to do with it. I’m talking about what they’re building emotionally. I think it’s going to be a great way to end the trilogy.

Halloween Ends hits theaters on October 14. For more on what to do this year, check out our 2022 movie release date guide.
