This awesome DIY Valentine’s Day card is easy to make, even for “awkward” crafters, as you can use the template to create the card.
How to make a heart shaped air balloon card
What do you need:
- colored construction paper – 4 or 5 different colors including white
- Scissors
- Glue
- black gel pen
- Pen – to trace the pattern
- Model
Follow these step-by-step instructions
Take different colors of construction paper and trace the template designs onto the paper.
Carefully cut out the patterns traced in construction paper.
Choose the placement of heart air balloons on the map.
Cut out 2 hearts, fold them in half and apply glue along the folds. Put 2 folded hearts side by side where the balloon will be made.
Take the third center hole of the heart and fold it in half again.
Spread glue on the fold and gently place them in the middle of the 2 hearts from the previous step.
Take the other cut out parts of the hot air balloon and glue them under the 3D heart design to complete the hot air balloon.
Similarly, make the other air balloon in the shape of a heart.
Now it’s time to glue the clouds.
Glue a small piece of card stock underneath to give the clouds a burst look. Don’t forget to write ‘Love is in the air’ on the big cloud before sticking it on the card.
Although this step is optional, adding a thin colored border to the top and bottom edges of the card gives the card a lively look.

To give the clouds a popped up look, glue a small piece of cardstock paper below them. Don’t forget to write ‘love is in the air’ on the big cloud before gluing it on the card.
Although this step is optional but adding a thin colored border on the top and bottom edge of the card gives it a vibrant look.
