Host filmmakers release terrifying teaser for new movie Dashcam

Blumhouse has released a trailer for Dashcam, the new PC screen horror game from the team that created the host.

Not to be confused with the same 2021 Christian Nilsson film, Dashcam follows a musician named Annie (Annie Hardy) who travels to England to escape COVID-19 related lockdowns in the United States and visit her former classmate from Stretch group. (Amer Chadha-Patel). Annie continues to broadcast her journey live to thousands of fans, even as sinister forces lead her astray.

The brief trailer, seen above, shows dash cam footage of Annie pleading with Angela, a frail old woman convinced she’s up to something evil. To the left of the screen, fan comments watch the live stream, begging Annie not to leave the car.

The film is directed by Rob Savage, who wrote the screenplay with Gemma Hurley and Jed Shepherd. It premiered at Toronto International Film 2021, before Momentum Pictures acquired distribution rights in 2022.

A horror that happened on a Zoom call between several friends, host Rob Savage received positive reviews in 2020. Dashcam is Savage’s second PC screen-style horror game and is highly anticipated by Host fans.

Dashcam will be available on demand June 3 in the US and digitally June 6 in the UK. It will hit theaters on June 3 in both countries.
