It’s a paper spinner and you won’t need a lot of materials to make it.
How to make a paper roulette
What do you need:
- colouring pencils
- the scissors
- thick cardboard
- gum
- thread
- toothpick or other sharp instrument
Let’s start!
Step by step instructions
Print and cut out the roulette shapes from the template provided.
If you prefer to use black and white versions, just color the strands with colored pencils.
Measure and cut out a circle shape from heavy cardboard.
Spread a little glue on both sides of the card stock and stick the circles on it.
Using a toothpick, make two small holes on either side of the center of the circle.
Drill the holes well.
There should be a distance of about 1 cm between them.
Thread the thread through the holes…
…and tie a tight knot on one side.
The length of the wire should be between 35 cm and 40 cm.
Truth!
Now the hardest part is starting the spin.
Start making quick circular motions with your hands to spin the wire into a spiral in one quick motion.
Once you start spinning, loosen up your movements and start moving your hands together and away to reload the spinner.
You will be enchanted watching the colors and shapes merge together as they spin.
What an interesting project, isn’t it?
You can make more of these tops and give them to your friends so you can all laugh and have fun together.
See you soon! Stay tuned for more easy-to-make creations!
