How to Mega Evolve and get Mega Energy in Pokémon Go

Pokemon Go now has Mega Evolution which allows you to create powerful Pokemon and make them even more powerful. in this Pokemon Go In the guide, we’ll walk you through how to get Mega Energy and use it to power up your Pokemon with Mega Evolution, candies along the way, bonus candies, raids, and more.

Update (April 27): We’ve updated this guide with new details about Mega Evolution. These Mega Evolution updates continue to roll out to regions, so it may take time for these changes to appear in your game.

Advantages of Mega Evolution

Mega Evolution empowers your Pokémon, yes, but there are a few other benefits you get when you own and use Mega Evolved Pokémon.

A benefit includes: bonus candy for this type of Pokemon. You will also be more likely to get Candy XL for Pokémon of the same type, if you are at least level 40. If you have an active Mega Pidgeot (normal type), you will get a bonus Buneary Candy when you catch Buneary or Lopunny (also normal type). (This amount is not multiplied by Pinap Berries.)

You will also get more XP for catching Pokemon of the same type as your Mega Evolved Pokemon.

When raiding with Mega Evolved Pokemon, Boost Your Allies’ Pokemon Statsin addition to giving additional type boost Pokémon of the same type. For example, if you use a Mega Lopunny, normal and fighting-type moves will be increased.

Increased Mega Levels

After the Mega Evolve refresh, your Mega Evolved Pokemon now have Mega Levels which further increase your Mega Evolve. As you increase your Pokémon Mega Levels, the bonuses listed above will also increase.

How to Get Mega Energy in Pokémon Go

You will need to collect your Pokemon for Mega Evolve Mega Energy for that particular Pokemon. Find Mega Pokemon Inside Mega Raids, get them and get Mega Energy for that special Pokemon. The faster you beat them, the more you will be rewarded with Mega Energy.

It will take several raids of the same Pokémon before it has enough energy to Mega Evolve, and most Mega Evolves will go in and out of raids. Not all Mega Evolutions will be available throughout the year, so be sure to stock up on the Mega Energy you want before leaving Pokémon Mega Raids.

You can also get Mega Energy from some of them. field research and Scheduled research tasks as price.

How to Mega Evolve Your Pokémon in Pokémon Go

you can just own one Mega Pokemon at a time. If you do a different Mega Evolve, your first Pokemon will revert back to normal and you’ll need to collect Mega Energy to evolve it again.

Using a Mega Pokemon in a Raid gives other Pokemon attack support, with an additional attack boost given to Pokémon of the same type. These buffs do not stack.

Your Pokemon will only be Mega Evolved for a certain amount of time, which you can check on that Pokemon’s info screen. Once it returns to normal, you can Mega Evolve again after a cooldown at no energy cost. You can use Mega Energy to reduce the cooldown.
