The process that gave Luke Cage his powers not only gave him superhuman strength and durability, but also gave him near-immunity allowing him to survive attacks from most conventional weapons and superhuman enemies. Cage’s strength is comparable to Hulk’s for reference. Colossus’ ability to transform into a mutant also grants him superhuman strength, durability, and near-invincibility, but only in his armored form. Both heroes’ powers have allowed them to fight villains from Juggernaut to Doctor Doom and still live to tell the tale. While this version of Piotr’s powers resembles his mainstream counterpart, this Luke Cage is significantly weaker as the Colossus can punch and impale him with little to no resistance. He doesn’t appear to have the same healing factor and dies soon after, in shock that his killer is his teammate and close friend.
Although the Colossus force is victorious over Luke Cage, his victory is short-lived, as he chooses to help his extra-dimensional sister complete her mission, the death of the Avengers, including her body. Although these are versions of two characters from another dimension entirely, one of many quests where Exiles must make difficult decisions for the fate of a world, one can only imagine. giant and Luke Cage ever fought, who would truly win.
