While it’s possible that the true temptation of this reality had nothing to do with Jane becoming Thor’s wife and was more about her desire to become Thor again, Jane’s point still stands. There’s no way she’d ever be content with just being Thor’s love interest at this point in the Marvel Universe, and neither would her fans. To that end, it does look as though Jane Foster will become the Mighty Thor once more with a limited series in June (coinciding with her debut in the MCU with Thor: Love and Thunder in July).
At any rate, Jane Foster has had one of the most dynamic character evolutions in the Marvel Universe. Gaining power and abilities of her own, Jane Foster no longer needs nor wants to wait for Thor to come and save her. Instead, she became Thor and is currently the Mighty Valkyrie where she can save herself and others. Anything less wouldn’t be enough as her story continues from Marvel Comics.
