Marvel’s Avengers Glitch Video Sees Werewolf Captain America Fly

A high-flying Marvel’s Avengers glitch lets werewolf Captain America soar gracelessly through the sky. The multiplayer superhero title, developed by Crystal Dynamics, has long been criticized for its microtransactions, lack of endgame content and many technical issues. Some fans believe that the end of Marvel’s Avengers is near, but bizarre glitches serve as an ongoing source of amusement for the playerbase.

Released back in September 2020, Marvel’s Avengers received praise for its authentic single-player storyline and roster of distinct playable characters. The experience was marred by seemingly endless bugs and glitches, however, many of which could crash the game or render a mission unplayable. Over time Crystal Dynamics has released free updates for Marvel’s Avengers, expanding the experience with new playable Avengers and new locations to explore. However, efforts to save the game and build a loyal playerbase have so far failed. Technical problems and a lack of content still plague the game, and recently Square Enix sold Crystal Dynamics to Embracer Group to make the game’s future even more uncertain.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

A hilarious Marvel’s Avengers video, shared by Reddit user kaharakahara, sees Captain America jitter through the air while dressed as a werewolf. The video starts out with Capwolf fighting enemies during the Klaw Raid, which was added to the game in November 2021. Tasked with reaching a distant platform, the lycanthropic Avenger apparently “felt it and went for the jump” before repeatedly performing Cap’s mid-air dive attack. Thanks to a miraculous glitch kaharakahara floats clumsily through the air, with Captain America’s theme from the Marvel Cinematic Universe serving as a hilarious companion to the buggy event.

As another example of the game’s notoriously glitchy existence, a recent Marvel’s Avengers bug let Hawkeye fly and leap long distances despite the avenging archer’s lack of superpowers. The bizarre bugs seem to grant Clint Barton the abilities of multiple friends from work, particularly Iron Man and Hulk. One video shows Hawkeye fly around just like Tony Stark, though he remains holding his bow in a stiff t-pose rather than adopting Iron Man’s iconic flying formation. Another video shows Clint leap around alongside the Hulk, suggesting the presence of either glitches or superhuman leg muscles.

While many Marvel’s Avengers bugs can be frustrating or downright game-breaking, some can actually be very amusing. The sight of kaharakahara shuffling through the air as a werewolf Captain America is hilarious, and the addition of the character’s MCU theme is icing on the cake. However, the rampant technical issues in Marvel’s Avengers have also played a large part in driving gamers away from the multiplayer Marvel experience.

Marvel’s Avengers is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Google Stadia.
