Voldemort doesn’t know that Snape was working as a double agent for Dumbledore when he killed Snape. Grindelwald, whose manipulative skills also earned Credence’s devotion, senses that Credence’s heart is not with him and tries to kill him. However, Albus and Aberforth’s spells meet Grindelwald’s and save his life.

Tragically, though Credence is saved from the Avada Kedavra of Grindelwald, he dies due to his Obscurus (he only survived due to the powerful magic within him). her last scene Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets It shows that he broke up with Aberforth, finally at peace with himself and the Dumbledore family.
