There are four stages to complete the Special Research for a Mega Moment, and completing each mission will give players a chance to Mega Evolve a Pokemon of their choice. After completing the first stage, players will be offered a branching option. Choosing Venusaur, Charizard, or Blastoise will determine which is which. Pokemon GO Mega Candy is received as a reward for certain missions. Once a Pokémon has been selected, it cannot be changed.

Mega An Step One

Catch 3 Pokemon: Bulbasaur encounter
Catch 3 Pokemon: Charmander match
Catch 3 Pokemon: Meeting with squirrels
Awards: 500 XP, 200 Stardust and PokéBall x10
branch selection: Select Venusaur, Charizard or Blastoise to continue special research

Mega a second step

Catch 5 Pokemon: PokeBall x10
Use 5 berries to help catch Pokemon: Big Ball x10
Power up the Pokemon 5 times: Razz Bay x10
Awards: Mega Candy x200, Premium Battle Pass and Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise Encounter

Mega Moment Stage 3

Earn 5 hearts with your friend: Mega Candy x50
Power Pokémon 5 times: Mega Candy x50
Mega Evolve Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise: paying MT
Awards: 1000 XP, 600 Stardust and Mega Candy x100

Mega a Fourth Stage

Win a Raid: Revive x6
Defeat a Team GO Rocket Grunt: Pokemon GO Silver Pinap Berries x2
Take a photo of your friend: Hyper Elixir x6
Awards: 2,000 XP, 1,500 Stardust and Mega Candy x100

Completing all four stages of A Mega Moment’s Special Research will reward players with various rewards, including Mega Candy, enough to evolve any Pokémon of their choice to branch out. Completing Special Research early will help prepare players for Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 1. While Kangaskhan is only weak against Martial-type Pokémon, Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard, and Mega Blastoise can still do a decent amount of damage. A Mega Moment will be active Pokemon GO Until 8:00 p.m. local time, Sunday, May 1, 2022.

There are four steps to completing A Mega Moment’s Special Research, and finishing every task will give players the chance to Mega Evolve a Pokémon of their choice. After completing the first step, players will be presented with a branching choice. Choosing either Venusaur, Charizard, or Blastoise will determine what Pokémon GO Mega Candy is received as a reward for some of the tasks. Once a Pokémon is chosen, it can’t be changed.

A Mega Moment Step Four
Win a Raid: Revive x6

Take a snapshot of your buddy: Hyper Potion x6
Rewards: 2,000 XP, 1,500 Stardust, and Mega Candy x100
Completing all four steps for A Mega Moment’s Special Research will give players a variety of rewards, including enough Mega Candy to evolve the Pokémon they selected for their branching choice. Completing the Special Research early will help prepare players for Mega Kangaskhan raid day on May 1. Although Kangaskhan is only weak against Fighting-type Pokémon, Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard, and Mega Blastoise can still deal a decent amount of damage. A Mega Moment will be active in Pokémon GO until Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 8:00 pm local time.
