RHOBH: What Is Lady M & The Infamous Pancake-Cake Sutton Bought

On the newest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, fans saw Sutton Stracke and Crystal Minkoff-Kung enjoying some dessert at the infamous bakery Lady M. Fans might recall the dessert the two friends were enjoying as the pancake cake, which Sutton introduced to the women during RHOBH season 11. The women were floored by how amazing the cake was, and fans were wondering where they could try it. However, the dessert was overshadowed soon after, thanks to the demise of Erika Jayne.

Last season, Erika was under fire after it was revealed that her soon-to-be ex-husband Tom Girardi had embezzled money from plane crash victims. For the whole season, the ladies, especially Sutton, were curious as to how aware Erika was of Tom’s crimes or if she simply turned a blind eye. Despite the focus on Erika, viewers couldn’t stop thinking about that interesting cake, and it seems the curiosity has spilled over onto RHOBH season 12.

On RHOBH season 12, episode 2, viewers finally found out that the infamous pancake cake Sutton introduced came from the Los Angeles-based bakery Lady M. However, fans who follow Sutton on social media will know she let the fans in long ago on where she got the cake. Last summer, in July 2021, Sutton shared a video on Instagram of her and her assistant enjoying a delicious pancake cake from Lady M. In the video, the reality star shared some details about the cake. “I just have a confession to make,” Sutton, who was cold about Dorit Kemsley’s robbery, began. “I did not make that, and apparently it’s not called a pancake cake. It’s called a crêpe cake, and I got mine from Lady M here in L.A.” Throughout the video, Sutton comments on how “crunchy” the cake is and the delicious “thin slices of crêpe.”

While Sutton helped put Lady M on the map with RHOBH fans, the bakery has been popular since 2001. According to the Lady M website, the bakery is a New York City luxury confections brand with over 50 boutiques worldwide. These boutiques can be found all over the U.S, as well as internationally, in many cities throughout China. Lady M is widely known for the creation of Signature Mille Crêpes, which combines French pastry techniques with Japanese sensibilities. The boutiques have even collaborated with Netflix and Baccara to help take their products to the next level. Recently, they collaborated with Sutton, who friendship with Erika has changed, on the Peach Cobbler Mille Crêpes. The dessert includes a peach-infused blonde chocolate pastry cream, which is topped with delicate sugar-glazed peach slices and crispy vanilla crumble.

Now that Lady M has been featured on RHOBH, they will likely have a very high influx of orders. The pancake cake, playfully coined by Sutton, has now become a must-try dessert amongst fans. Now that Sutton is the face of one of their newest crêpe cake, they will have even more opportunities to expand their business.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Bravo.
