It’s time to do some bullshit with this Talking Fish paper craft. Although it may not be the easiest fishing boat or origami, the result is worth it. Thus, you will make a talking fish!

Today we decided to spread our love of fish and make a really cool fish project.

Origami is a fish, but no ordinary fish.

This fish can talk.

We have so much fun playing with it. It’s a great toy to have with you when you’re bored.

A talking fish, woo-hoo! What’s cooler than that?

Talking Fish Paper Craft for Kids

How to make a talking paper fish

What do you need:

  • A4 paper
  • 2 confused eyes
  • the scissors
  • gum
  • white acrylic color and a cotton swab (if you want to add dots to the paper fish)

Used materials

Let’s start!

Step by step instructions

Fold a square and cut the excess paper with scissors.

Step 1

Fold the triangle in half.

Follow the photos provided carefully!

Step 2-1

Fold the triangle into two equal parts, a triangle and a rectangle.

Step 4

Unfold the folds and fold the rectangular part again.

step 5

Fold a triangle from the rectangular part.

Step 6

Fold a small triangle on the same side…

Step 7

…and open it.

Step 7-2

Fold a small elongated triangle.

Step 8

Fold a small triangle into the corner.

Step 9

Unfold the folded paper. Now we will start collecting the fish.

Fold the two opposite corners of the triangle.

Step 11-1

Fold two long triangles on both sides.

Step 11-2

Make a small triangle in the middle…

…by folding the middle part inwards.

Step 12-1

It should look like this.

Fold the middle square.

Step 13

Take two opposite sides without a fold and begin to assemble the square by pressing them inwards.

Notice how the paper should look now.

Step 15

Check if you have folded everything correctly.

Fold a long triangle.

Also fold a long triangle on the opposite side. We now have two tail pieces.

Open the square that we pressed there.

Fold the two parts of the tail into the square…

… as shown in the photo.

Like that.

Step 20-2

Spread some glue between them and press the pieces together with your fingers until the glue dries.

And hold on.

Apply glue to the rough eyes and stick it on the head.

Turn on the 3D fish and make it talk.

How to make a talking paper fish
What do you need:
A4 sheet of paper
2 googly eyes
the scissors
glue
white acrylic color and a cotton swab (if you want to add dots to the paper fish)

Let’s start!
Step by step instructions
Fold a square and cut off the excess paper using scissors.

Fold the triangle in half.
Follow the photos provided carefully!

Fold the triangle into two equal parts, a triangle and a rectangle.

Open the folds and fold the rectangle part again.

Fold a triangle out of the rectangle part.

Fold a small triangle on the same side…

…and open it.

Fold a small long triangle.

Fold a small triangle at the corner.

Open the folded paper. Now we will start assembling the fish.

Fold the two opposite corners of the triangle.

Fold two longer triangles on each side.

Take out a small triangle in the middle…

…by folding the middle part inwards.

It should look like this.

Fold the square in the middle.

Take the two opposite sides that don’t have creases and start bringing them together, so that the square is pressed inside.

Notice how the paper should look now.

Check if you have folded everything correctly.

Fold a long triangle.

Also fold a long triangle on the opposite side. We now have two tail parts.

Open the square that we pressed inside.

Fold the two parts of the tail inside the square…

…as shown in the photo.

Like that.

Apply some glue between them and press the pieces together with your fingers until the glue dries.

And hold it tight.

Put some glue on the googly eyes and stick them on the head.

Open the 3D fish and make it talk.

Finished!

Go show your parents that talking fish.
