Top PS4 titles to play on PS5 for enhanced framerates and resolution
While there are plenty of top PS5 games using the new console, many old favorites are getting nice upgrades even without special patches. Too many to count (we checked over 60), but generally if a game has unlimited framerates, it will smoothly transition to 60fps on the PS5. Want a quick fix? Here are the ten best bouncers we’ve found so far…

Above is our selection of the sweetest bouquet, the crème de la crème. However, there are others that have received a nice boost that we like to revisit. They just don’t get a big enough jump to make the full roster. Yet even these additional games are not everything:
- Knack and Knack 2 (they work fine now)
- dark souls 3
- Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin
- aragami
- Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
- The Last Guardian (unpatched from disc – currently the only way to get 60fps, but oh my god it’s awesome)
- Bulletstorm: full clip
- Cities: Skylines
- Control
- Ni No Kuni 2
- Tekken 7
- Hitman and Hitman 2
- dishonest 2
- Cyberpunk 2077 (a big step up from base consoles, but still just as problematic)
- The Evil Within 2
- kingdom hearts 3
- MediEvil
- dreams
- God of the war
- Gravity Rush 2

Above are our pick of the bunch, the cream of the crop, the softest of the software. But there’s some others that also get a nice boost we enjoyed revisiting. They just don’t benefit from a huge enough leap to make the full list. Though, even these extra games aren’t everything:
Knack and Knack 2 (really, they run really smooth now)
Dark Souls 3
Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin
Aragami
Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time
The Last Guardian (unpatched from a disc – the current only way to get 60fps, but oh my it’s gorgeous)
Bulletstorm: Full Clip
Cities: Skylines
Control
Ni No Kuni 2
Tekken 7
Hitman and Hitman 2
Dishonored 2
Cyberpunk 2077 (a big step up from base consoles, but still buggy as hell though)
The Evil Within 2
Kingdom Hearts 3
MediEvil
