Where to Find The Nightmare of Qalec, The Sniper in Destiny 2
Before reaching the target, players will need to fight some lesser Nightmare enemies that will drop Unstable Essence. Collecting the material will grant a damage buff against Nightmares. Throughout the fight with Qalec, enemies will repeatedly spawn, supplying Guardians with the much-needed Unstable Essence. While not particularly tough, the Psion is relatively tanky and requires that players use everything at their disposal to take him out. Using Destiny 2‘s Osteo Striga is excellent for quickly dispatching the excess foes and whittling down Qalec’s health with the weapon’s poison.
Once defeated, players are rewarded with the completion of the Drainage Triumph and a Haunted Alcove chest. There is no respawn restriction, so players who struggle during the fight will have multiple attempts. Qalec is only one of the many Nightmares hidden throughout the Derelict Leviathan, and Guardians must stay vigilant if they want to find them all.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
